The Old School House is set in the small friendly village of Traboe which can be found in the area of outstanding natural beauty of Cornwall's Lizard peninsular. The village of Traboe is a small village of eight unique and traditional houses and is very quiet and peaceful, being on a small very quiet road found off the B3273. An excellent range of facilities including schools, local hospital and shops can be found in nearby Helston or St Keverne. Traboe is only a mile from the main St Keverne to Helston road, Helston being about 12 minutes drive away and St Keverne is about 9 drive minutes away. Kennack Sands beach is a short 7 minutes drive through the English Heritage maintained Goonhilly Downs, which in itself offers many excellent walks and much wildlife just minutes from Traboe. Traboe is about 5 miles from the Helford river which is well known for it's excellent sailing and other outdoor activities. Truro is approximately 30 miles away where there is a main line railway station to Bristol and London Paddington.

DESCRIPTION:
This former School House and it's numerous outbuildings were built in 1883, mainly of local granite and stone. It has been beautifully renovated to an exceptional standard in a modern style with kind regard to it's many original features. This building has a beautiful victorian roof with decorative gable ends. The roof was recently replaced with new traditional uneven slates, lead flashing and guttering. Presently being on one level, there is a large traditional oak beamed vaulted roof that spans half of the property that could be used to add additional rooms above. Underfloor central heating has been installed throughout the house leaving no radiators or other means of heating visible thus maximizing space and reducing drafts. The plot itself is a generous rectangle with no immediate properties adjoined and is fully enclosed within the original victorian playground walls.
